All the appetisers were tasteless and missing salt. The red wine (the most expensive ‘by-the-glass’ one) was served with a lot of sediments. A top restaurant would be careful about pouring towards the end of a bottle).

The squid ink paella (and trust me on this because I grew up with it) was literally burnt at the bottom while the rice was not even cooked. Paella should have a crunchy floor called ‘socarrat’ in Spanish, but it’s not the charred uncooked rice it was presented.

There are at least 5 restaurants far better (and cheaper) than Olé. Olé…your time is passé! And I can make a bet that there no Spanish chef in the kitchen
