This is the first time visiting this chain, popular for their noodle soups. They have a variety of choices and combinations, so you can create the dish to your own taste. I tried the Cross~Bridge Mixian ($29) with wonton (+$9), medium numbing spicy. It came out very quickly. The soup base is thick and intense with flavour. There is minced meat, preserved vegetable, chives and bean sprouts mixed through the soup, and the taste is strong and packs a punch. It has a lovely layer of red chilli oil floating on to which gives every bite a powerful kick.
The noodles are on the softer side. The dumplings were big but there was only 2. They had a thick skin and contained a relatively tasteless mix of pork and some indiscernible minced green vegetable.
Overall, a good, cheap lunchtime meal. While I probably won't choose the dumplings again some of the other toppings that I saw other people eating did look more attractive.
