Japanese burgers were once very popular among Hong Kong, when the first MOS burger was opened in HK. After that, western burgers and some crossover ones like Monster Burger appears in previous years. Uncertain whether this trend is still on in town, I was of the mood for burgers this evening and went into this MOS in Tseung Kwan O for quick fix.i ordered Seafood Rice Burger set, $37, and I always like the "Pearl Rice" that Japanese burgers specialities made the bread crust. i ordered Seafood Rice Burger set, $37, and I always like the "Pearl Rice" that Japanese burgers specialities made the bread crust. This time the rice outer layer was okay, though a bit too soft, without clear texture. It was hot enough but the steam around the paper bag makes the rice too soft for me.
For the seafood inside the burger, it was tasty with shrimps, scallops as well as some veggies. The portion was a bit disappointing though- you see my picture above, there was only seafood fillings on the surface of the burger, and there was only rice at the bottom.
The fries were very soft, and i witnessed the waiter didnt take the set to me at once when it was ready, maybe the fries were softened during that period of time. =(
This burger and the fries were just bare pass, is it because of the decline of the trend of eating burgers? Or just because the quality varies in different branches of MOS? Hope there could be improvement and diners could enjoy better quality of Rice Burgers!
