I know I must have to return and try this café since the last vain attempt. It was a Sunday night when I passed by the newly opened Little Dot Room few months ago. I know I must have to return and try this café since the last vain attempt. It was a Sunday night when I passed by the newly opened Little Dot Room few months ago. The owner apologized that the pancakes were surprisingly popular and ingredients got out of stock so that she had to fly to Taiwan for the Taiwanese flour that night. I truly appreciated the ‘stubbornness’ of Little Dot Room- a tiny café that insists to import Taiwanese raw materials by all means.

Mostly pancakes but also drinks and mains were served here. The signature pancake, soufflé pancakes were available 10 per timeslot, 3 timeslots per day (3pm, 6pm, 9pm). We arrived at 3:15pm for the 3pm timeslot. After your order, you will get the soufflé pancake model printed with the order sequence (actually a quota tag)- ours was number 10 i.e. the last one of that round.

After 45-60 minutes, our fresh pancakes were ready. The two layers were thick and fluffy indeed, not too sweet. I thought it would be airy but not at all; fulfilling instead. What impressed me the most was not the food but the diligence of the owner- I watched her sliding pancakes from the skillet onto the plate with a palette knife each by each. What could be improved was the environment- quite crowed and bar tables were shared.

Overall, Little Dot Room is worth a visit. There you would taste not only pancakes with perfect texture but also the sweet effort paid by the owner. Go before the pancake timeslot starts to avoid the queue!

p.s. Long waiting time, but wifi available if needed.
