Hong Kong style French Toast! My colleagues and I heard that Shui Kee Coffee was well-known for its Cha-chaan-teng food, espeically the french toasts and bottle milk tea or coffee. I think its a good experience for us to be reminiscent of the good old days in Hong Kong, like having cheap and tasty food. This shop is located near the Sheung Wan wet market, we would not expect the environment was hygienic, our focus would be on the food!French Toast $23- The french toast was special and nice th
French Toast $23
- The french toast was special and nice that it was not deep-fried as usual, instead, it was fried in shallow oil such that it would not be so oily and crispy. The toast here kept its moisture and soft texture. However, the quality was not even because my friend's toast was burnt at the bottom and was not hot enough, so it really depends on the condition of the chef. If I got the burnt french toast, I would have said it was over-rated.
Beef Noodles $28
- Beef was fresh and tender. It was sliced into thin layer so we could tear it easily. I do think it was the nostalgic memory of most Hong Kong people. Worth a try!
