Was excited to try this new Mexican joint after reading about it in several magazines. There's a main dining room (which is supposedly very posh according to media pictures) and an alfresco area. During lunch time, the main dining room is closed so we ate in the alfresco area. The lunch menu is limited and you mark on a piece of paper what you'll like to eat and give it to the server. No service charge but they 'encourage' tipping. We had:Chorizo quesadilla Mushroom quesadillaSoft drinkCocon
We had:
Chorizo quesadilla
Mushroom quesadilla
Soft drink
Coconut juice 750 ml
Their open kitchen was inviting and we eagerly awaited our order to be served. Given that there were less than 8 customers in total at that time, our order still took around 15 minutes to be served. The quesadilla were small in size and probably suits those on strict diets. For my male friend it wasn't even a snack. The mushroom with cheese quesadilla tasted decent but probably not as good as some of the other Mexican joints in Central and Soho. Their prices were also higher, around $75 per quesadilla. The chorizo quesadilla was dry and tasteless, very disappointing. Overall we spent $265 and didn't feel satisfied at all. I suggest people try the dinner service as the lunch service was substandard. Definitely disappointed after the anticipation from reading about the opening.
