My partner and I went to Hong Kong for holiday in April 2012. We only stayed in Hong Kong for 5 days, so we tried our very best to make our stay in Hong Kong special and unforgettable.

Cut the long story short, we were browsing in Hong Kong Island one day. Then we ended up in a shopping mall called Pacific Place in Admiralty. We were looking for a place to eat, we discovered this Dan Ryan's steak house on the shopping mall's directory, we thought we would give it a try. At the beginning of our evening, I ordered a glass of lemonade which was far too sour to drink, it was more like a glass of lemon juice mixed with cold water. Anyway, I thought it was only me and I didn't want to ruin the evening, so I kept myself quiet and stuck with plain water instead. When our food arrived, my partner and I were both shocked. My partner ordered a rack of ribs which had hardly any meat on. I ordered a dish which turned out like a soup with rice (the restaurant called it a main course!). I had no idea how I was supposed to eat my dish, I was very frustrated and disappointed with my food, in the end I left half of my food untouched.

When the bill was presented to us, it was six hundred and something HK dollars, we just did not believe such trash would cost that much. No one asked how our food was during the evening, it seemed to us that the staff simply couldn't be bothered whether their customers were happy with their food or not. We just felt it was no point to discuss our disappointment with the staff, so we decided to write to Dan Ryan's formally to make a complaint instead. We got a reply from Dan Ryan's saying the store manager would be in touch, and that promise was made a month ago and still we are waiting to hear from the manager. What an upsetting, non-professional, poor customer service and management!

That awful experience truly made our trip to Hong Kong unforgettable in a bad way!!!
