I was excited about the fish offal dish I ordered because offal normally means livers, hearts, lungs etc but the fish offal at this place was FISH ROE!! I love fish roe, this is the first item I eat if there is any from steamed fish! Never would I have thought fish roe would be classified as fish offal but anyway it was bloody delicious because it was crispy on the outside and full of Sichuan spicy flavours.
They were generous as well with the fish roe.
It is similar to battered roe in British fish and chip shops but with more intense flavours.
The spicy beancurd sheets were very salty and spicy and the sheets were too big.
The gizzards were a bit too dark for my liking so it makes me wonder if they have too much toxins in them!!
