First of all, we went here during Chinese New Year, so the restaurant charged for extra 10% of service fee. That is OK, we should pay them more for working on public holidays. However, this was not the very reason why I am so pissed. When we still got an hour of stay, the manager walked in and handed in the bill, asking us for payment by cash. Since we didn't get enough cash, we said we wanted to pay by credit card. He said their card reader didn't work, and told us to go downstairs and find an ATM to take cash. Later, he came back several times and asked us for the cash immediately, meanwhile we were still “enjoying” the food.
The key is, we were being nice all the time, no reason for the manager to be such rude and impatient. And, if your card reader was broken, why not told us at the start?And thirdly, he seemed like to assume we would not pay for the meal, because he started to charge an hour before we leave.
By the way, the food is not bad, and waiters and waitresses are all good and nice, I am really willing to pay them the service fee-- except for that manager. We felt no “service” from him, and we failed to enjoy the food with frequent interruptions.
