I went to this restaurant many times for lunch. To be fair, I think the food is reasonably good. The worst thing about this place is their service (or I should say, "no service"). For most of the time, they were either too slow to serve food, or showed you to sit in sushi bar when you made reservation a week ago to book for a table, or took them ages to get the bill.Apart from dining in, I would sometimes order take away and to pick up from the cashier. Apart from dining in, I would sometimes order take away and to pick up from the cashier. Once I tried to order the food by phone and asked if I could change some of the items in the set to something else (which I could when I dine in). I was told by the person on the phone that "We are TOO busy to check that for you!". Well, GREAT. It seems to me that the lady is quite used to being rude to their customer as she's very calm when I asked for her name and her work position in the restaurant. She was also absolutely fine when I told her I was not pleased with her service.
Being a japanese restaurant in a hotel and I am talking about Ritz Carlton, I really expect something more than that. Actually even some fastfood japanese takeaway would say "thanks" when I pay the bill or say "sorry" if they cannot take the order. From this restaurant, what you can get is a "we are TOO busy" from their assistant manager. Thanks for that.
