Coffeeholic by Smith Group Taipei. That's a pretty lengthy name. The actual name of the group is Coffee Smith Taipei but I guess they had to chop that off otherwise the name would be even longer.Hailing from Taipei, the land of many very cool cafes, they have decided to expand their operations to Hong Kong. Hailing from Taipei, the land of many very cool cafes, they have decided to expand their operations to Hong Kong. Right smack in Sheung Wan, where there are so many surrounding coffee shops, I wondered who it would fare? The cafe isn't very big. I would say ... rather cramped as cafes go. Along with coffee, they had cafe style food as well. Menu is in English and Chinese. But I was here for the coffee.
Ice Roasted Almond Latte ($45). Boyfriend ordered this. A very thick layer of foam was on the top. Something I rarely saw in an ice latte as most just leave out the foam. The coffee base was not too strong but fairly aromatic. There was a subtle hint of roasted almond. Pink Himalayan Sea Salted Caramel Latte ($38). I ordered this and it came with one of the most beautiful latte art. The amount of foam was fine. Temperature was right as well. The coffee smelled fantastic and had a slight nutty base. Though it was caramel latte, it wasn't too sweet. The salted caramel was actually just the sauce that was drizzled on top. Mixing it into my coffee, didn't enhance it. It came with a seriously cute spoon. I noticed they did add cute small touches to everything here. Fairly decent cup of coffee. I will be back and try the food next time along with another type of coffee.
