My families and I went to a Chinese restaurant called ''Palace restaurant and Bar''(四合院) aka Siheyuan/ courtyard houses/ Chinese quadrangles. The name literally means a courtyard surrounded by buildings on all four sides which are typical historical buildings in Beijing. This restaurant is located in Shop , G/F, Hundred City Centre, 7-17 Amoy Street, Wan Chai(灣仔廈門街7-17號百旺都大廈地下A舖), just next block of the Lee Tung Street(與利東街/囍帖街相隔一條街).The resturant is painted with the vibrant orange red. This restaurant is located in Shop , G/F, Hundred City Centre, 7-17 Amoy Street, Wan Chai(灣仔廈門街7-17號百旺都大廈地下A舖), just next block of the Lee Tung Street(與利東街/囍帖街相隔一條街).
The resturant is painted with the vibrant orange red. Numerous Chinese style wall decorates are hanging on the wall.
Huge floor to ceiling industrial style gridded windows separate the courtyard from the restaurant indoor area.
''Gangsta beef'' (土匪牛肉) HKD$98
It actually is the spicy numbing stir fried beef with spring onion and chives.
Tender and juicy beef coated with tangy, flavourful sauce.
Even though you did not taste the spiciness, there is a subtle numbling after taste lingers in your mouth.
Intersting and tasty.
Best dish of the night!
''Quick fried fresh squid''(爆炒鮮魷) HKD$88
This is a flavour bomb.Full of nice complex flavours.
The squid is not rubbery.
''Deep fried chicken with chilli in Sichuan style'' (辣子雞) HKD$128
huh?!It is bloody red, quite scary, right?!
It is not that spicy as you think.
The chicken is actually quite tasty and yummy with crispy golden skin.
Customers can choose the degrees of spiciness which they prefer.
But the chicken is quite small portion.
''Sauteed shrimps with nuts and chillis'' (宮保蝦仁) HKD$128
The shrimps are springy and bouncy.
The portion is large.
But it's a bit bland.
Some of the waitresses(esp the tall one) are very rude and unfriendly who really get on your nerves.
