It's a dinner celebration that had been postponed for long, and even the birthday girl couldn't remember it. I just kinda made our dinner gathering to celebrate the belated birthday.

They serve semi buffet at this restaurant for dinner, and on the night we visited, there were three different main courses from which to be chosen. I don't remember the exact menu of the night but they did offer grilled steak/tenderloin, cod fish and risotto (not sure about the last option). The steak was cooked to medium, exactly what I ordered. Unfortunately, the texture was a bit rough and it's due to the quality of the meat, something that the chef couldn't really do much about it. I would give a high mark in terms of control the cooking time though.

The robatayaki offered chicken gizzard, wings, squid, lobster, minced chicken, eggplant, zucchini etc. Well, you can't expect you'd get something close to a speciality restaurant serving just robatayaki but I would say it's average to above average. The lobster is the best pick and you would probably skip the eggplant.

Going back to the buffet, salad bar offered a wide variety of veggies and they were all fresh and crisp. They even had beetroot, something I rarely see in buffet even though it was only from a tin. The grilled veggie with pesto was just okay and my university's cafeteria in Canada offered same stuff in a much better quality.

For the seafood, they got only 1 type of oysters from the States, and although they were fresh, they also had lots of shell in it. Poor technique! They also have shrimps, mussels and whelks. Only tried the whelks for these three categories and they are of the good quality.

It's a good place to relax and talk to friends as you get a big table with good privacy.
