After years of trying out different so-called specialty burger joints in HK, I was sick of eating burgers that look good but are otherwise a piece of overcooked tasteless meat between a bun. They never live up to the hype. I thought, Hong Kong people don't know how to make burgers, and even white people who came to HK suddenly forgot how to make burgers. And then I randomly popped into this remote place in the middle of nowhere. 


A simple cheeseburger flamegrilled to perfection, with a patty that actually tastes like beef and remains juicy. No bullcrap labels boasting itself to be of so-called premium origin. No gimmicky grass-fed or dry-aged beef used (I believe). No stupid exotic ingredients put into the mix a la Burgeroom style.  And it costs only half of what the other places would charge you. 


I think this is the best representation of what (North) American burgers should taste like.  And the other stuff coming from this kitchen are equally amazing as well...from shakes to onion rings to fish n' chips to mac n' cheese.  I have visited a few times, and I'm gonna try everything from the menu one day.
