this place is famous amongst locals and rightly so because it's fish balls and soup/broth is very tasty compared to other places. their fish slices and fried fish skins are also so much superior. food is consistently good unlike other fish ball noodles stalls. one may think how hard it can be when it's just fish ball noodles but when you see as many customers as they do, you'll appreciate the food. $16 for a small bowl it's not cheap but then again, it's demand and supply and even at that price,
$16 for a small bowl it's not cheap but then again, it's demand and supply and even at that price, demand often outstrip supply. most people order 2 bowls in one go. personally, i always go for 'yin yeung' or both mein and hor fun together.
service can seem to be cold and arrogant but that's because given the large number of customers most of the time, they don't have time to spare. however, service is fast and efficient; your food will always arrive time in time but just be patient! also, it's not a place to sit and linger. once you are done eating, you are expected to vacate your sit for the others waiting.
be prepared to wait for around 20mins minimum at weekend for a seat and another 10 mins for food. otherwise, get there before 10am. they close at 2pm sharp which has always baffled me because they will still have plenty of customers another hour or 2.
