I love 759 Store. Ever since they opened up one just two shops down from my building, I always go in to see what's new. They have everything. Then they startedto expand from their stores that sell food to a venture that is completely new. The restaurant buisiness.

759 Wonton is the first of their restaurant ventures. Since opening this one, they have expanded into a bakery, a cafe and a cart noodle shop. And more seems to be on it's way. Boyfriend and I decided to visit their first restaurant.

Located in Cheung Sha Wan, it's easy to find. It's right across the street from exit A3, Cheung Sha Wan MTR station.

Menu is all in Chinese. There is no English.

The interior had a wall of various versions of their 759 discount card. I think most everybody in Hong Kong has one. Sadly, you can't use their discount card at their restaurants.

Ja Jiang Mein ($30). Boyfriend ordered this and I ate a bit. The noodles were so chewy it was hard to bite into. I kind of liked it that way. The meat sauce was ok and tasted a bit sweet.

Rice noodles with soysauce marinaded chicken leg ($32). This was bigger than I thought. The rice noodles were chewy. There was a lot of vegetables given to me. I think I eat in Causeway Bay too much because there I only get one choy sum. Here I got at least 5 pieces!

The chicken leg was huge. Though moist and tender, it was sadly bland. I have no idea why. I guess not marinaded enough?

I also ordered an ice lemon tea for $8. It was pretty decent ice lemon tea.

A lot of the reviews said it wasn't good, service was poor and prices too expensive. When I was there, service was ok. Portion size was quite decent. Prices not expensive. But maybe I eat my noodles on Hong Kong island more so $30 for noodles were pretty cheap! However, when I walked around the area afterwards, I found that a bowl of noodles cost $20! So, I guess for people in this area, $30 for noodles is expensive.
