I have been to Padstow three times and there was a very obvious drop in quality this time. We ordered 3 things, crab cake, steak and stout pie and mussels.The crab cake at over 80 dollars for one portion was very disappointing. It was not moorish like a normal crab cake. From memory it was probably the worst crab cake I have had and I was really looking forward to it. The steak and stout pie was alright. The steak and stout pie was alright. It was a decent pie but the chunky fries that came with the meal were so over-fried it was unappetising dark colour and very dry.
The mussels were simply not fresh or of bad quality. We only had half of the portion as it just tasted very bad. The chunky fries that came were once again overdone. Very amateur.
I would not come again.
