The texture was really similar to squid slices. As well as abalone, we had deep fried tofu rolls and garlic cucumber for starters.
The tofu rolls were crispy but I felt that there was no need for the batter coating. The pork and okra in black bean sauce was really good because black bean sauce is always tasty and the pork slices were tender and lean. The fried rice looked oily but it was quite nice. The tofu pot with sea cucumber was a bit too sweet for my liking. For dessert, we had red date pudding which was sweet and sticky!
