Every time I pass by a choux à la crème shop, the aroma always smells so sweet and delicious. That time, I finally bought my first two choux at Choux Creme: one black, chocolate covered, and one white, original flavoured. As expected, the original chou (white) tasted better. The black chou was harder to cut with its hardened chocolate top. The bitterness of the chocolate was also more dominant than the sweet and light cream filling. The chocolate flavour was too strong in this case. And so the white chou wins: simple with a sprinkle of icing sugar. The dough was a little crispier than expected though. This is probably because they were left overnight in the fridge. Eating the choux right on spot would have a different turn out I am sure.
