Went for a small family meal on a Thursday as we were undecided what to eat. We've drunk in here before but never tried the food. Our meals of choice included ox cheek with celeriac mash. The cheek was very succulent and the mash really went well with the gravy. We also had be ribeye steak which was pretty good value and cooked to perfection. Not too much fat either. The service was a little slow and we had long waits between dishes. But they did throw in a glass of wine for each of us on the house which didn't come with an explanation so we assumed it was due to the slowness of service. They have a good selection of drinks and are quite modestly priced.
Not too expensive and very very good quality food means we will definitely return. Particularly on a Monday as their steaks are half price.
