Ventured out to the Hung Hom/Whampoa area for a nice and relaxing brunch at Moreish & Malt. The vibe of the restaurant is exactly what they advertised to be, American-inspired cuisine for the local neighborhood. It’s like what it’d be when a Denny’s is run by a HKer lol. The food was really delicious. The classic steak and eggs was very substantial and flavorful. You can tell it’s good quality steak because it tasted fresh and firm. If they served tater tots instead, it’d be even more American.

The eggs bene with salmon was yummy too. I feel like using salmon is the local influence to this dish, coz Americans don’t like fish 😂 The hollandaise sauce elevated the dish. It was buttery, tangy and had the right thickness in its consistency.

As for the homemade crêpes, I thought it was a nice attempt too, but it could be thinner and a bit less doughy. The cinnamon was a nice and very American touch though 😍
