I decided to try the abura soba as I've never tried this before. I got the classic version ($48).

This is the instructions. Apparently, you're supposed to mix everything together. Add your appropriate seasonings. Then add mayo. WHAT???

Basically, I  got some dry noodles with some oil and sauce on the bottom. This was topped with  semi raw egg yolk, char siu and crunchy chow mein. I mixed everything together and tasted it. It was pretty good! The noodles  were thick and chewy.   The sauce was not too salty but covered the noodles to the right amount. The char siu was a bit too fat but the addition of crunchy chow mein was a nice texture. I did add a  bit of Kewpie mayo just to see what i l Iiked it. I could probably do without it but as it made it seem more like  soba salad. I would probably skip it next time.

Super cheap meal for only $50! Not only was it cheap but it tasted pretty good. Definitely value for money and I'll be back.
