We planned to have Western cuisine for dinner tonight and decided upon Mini Friday. It was located at Sai Yeung Choi Street South, few minutes walk from Yau Ma Tei MTR.They served a wide range of Western cuisine such as pasta, salad, main, soup, pizza, snack, appetizer, desserts and drinks etc. They provided dinner set and DIY pasta set as well. Shortly after we were seated, they served us a complimentary basket of crackers. It was fried till crispy, not oily.
Baked beef tongue & potatoes - It was served on a hot pan, with generous serving of melted cheese and soft boiled egg on top of it. It helped to make this dish cheesy and flavourful. Potatoes were soft and crispy while beef tongue cubes were flavourful and juicy.
Linguine carbonara - It was presented nicely, with a huge soft boiled egg on top of the pasta for us to mix together. Pasta was cooked till smooth and creamy, chewy as well. There were sliced ham and mushroom too.
Fish and chips - Fried fish was served in 1 huge piece, fried till the skin was very crispy. Fish meat inside was still hot, very soft and smooth. Sliced lemon was provided to squeeze on it, enhancing the freshness. Fries was of thick texture, fried till soft and crispy.
Apple crumble - There were alot of sliced apple in it, baked till very soft and juicy, with alot of crumbs on top. Strawberry ice cream was provided at the top, complimenting nicely with the apple crumble, which was sweet in taste.
