The T Gallery in Hysan Place had a pop up cafe with Habitu where the food and drinks were inspired by lipstick colors. Little cookies shaped like clouds.
And lip shaped cookies as well.
The menu was in English and Chinese. They had drinks designed by Habitu and special popsicles from Lola (one of my favorite local artisan popsicle makers). There is no 10% service charge as they expect this to be take away only.
They offered a special combo where you pay only $60 for any cake donut and drink. I decided to order this after I got off work.
I chose a red strawberry cake donut and a Candy Kiss Roselle Habiccino Ice Tea. The tea was ... well ... a bit bland. It wasn't fragrant enough. And half my cup was ice. The habiccino is Habitu's version of Starbucks frap and well .... Starbucks does it way better. It was just some strange topping of ice on top of the watery tea. Drink was a definite no. But the cake donut was delicious. Moist and soft. Not too sweet but sweet enough to satisfy my cake craving. The frosting was sticky and red, just like a smear of red lipstick. The cake donut is a must try.
Will be back and get a popsicle next time. Or until the pop up ends.
