One private room seating 6.
Decided to order a la carte rather than the omakase set ($788 pp).
Here’s what we had.
-Tiger prawn wrapped in chicken skin. Creatively yummy. Juiciness of the prawn was well preserved.
-雞冠- my first time to try. Slightly crispy outside; soft and moist inside.
We were given radish- original and preserved.
-Chicken wing. Nicely done.
-Tempura-ed abalone topped with dried liver bits. Too dry.
-Minced duck stick with egg yolk. Nice texture. Couldn’t finish the egg yolk but decided to keep it for later.
-提燈 (fallopian tube and ovary) with half done egg yolks. Not generally a fan of innards but decided to try given its rarity. Apparently it took some skills to cook it just right.
-Tofu. Very aromatic.
-Oyster
-Chicken intestine.
-Half cooked egg wrapped in bacon. Added the leftover egg yolk.
-White eel. A bit burnt in places.
-Wagyu ox tongue. Very thick and tender.
-Chicken thigh topped with bits of lime. Good.
-Onigri. Very crispy on the outside, soft inside.
Chicken soup- disappointment of the night. Very diluted and salty.
Dessert: sweet potato IceCream in wafer sandwich.
In summary: interesting selection; skilled chef; nicely done. Excellent ventilation system. Go before the BYOB offer expires.
