Meeting boyfriend near his home, we decided to eat at his regular cart noodle shop near by.The place is simple enough. Three items to choose from for $40. Everything is in Chinese. But ordering is simple enough. You just point to what you want. First choose your noode type. Then choose three items they have in front of you. It also comes with some vegetables so there is no need to order that. You can also request to have a bit of beef brisket sauce to coat on top. Spring onions and other condiments you add yourself.

Here's what I chose: A thick noodle with pork and chive dumplings, soy sauce marinated chicken wings and deep fried shrimp sausage.  Portions were huge. I couldn't finish my noodles despite boyfriend helping me out. They also give you a lot of toppings! Enough for boyfriend and I to share freely. The taste was ok though. Nothing really stood out. Chicken wings lacked a bit of flavor. The dumplings were fine but pork to chive ratio was a bit off. Shrimp sausauge  was nice and firm.

Boyfriend had sweet and sour gluten, daikon and beef brisket. The daikon was slightly bitter for my liking. The sweet and sour gluten was ok. Not sour enough for my liking. The brisket was moist but wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked.

It was cheap, that was for sure. Portions were  big as well. Other than that, I think I'd only come if boyfriend wanted to eat here. If it was up to me, I have had better cart noodle else where.
