Takeaway lunch in the office. Colleague recommended this place for laksa (and she would know, being Malaysian Chinese). Apparently only the really authentic ones would use the “sea um” and a mixture of thick and thin noodles. I’m not a fan of laksa so called and ordered the chicken rice. Would it be possible to order thighs only? No, each set contained a mix of boneless thigh, breast and wing. Ok then. I was pleasantly surprised upon my return. Chicken was not oily at all; but even the breast (which I normally hated) tasted tender. Loved the fried garlic/scallion bits scattered over the rice. I finished all. The best bit was the coconut chicken soup that came with it- yummiest coconut soup I’ve ever tried- so full of flavour and I wasn’t thirsty afterwards. In summary, best chicken rice I’ve tried in a long time.
