To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今晚約咗朋友嚟中環食飯,朋友知道我想睇靚景,揀咗呢間星馬餐廳,餐廳有分室內同室外,室外可以望到靚靚嘅維港景,可惜今日有少少落雨,所以我哋坐返喺室內。Pineapple Refresher先飲番杯飲品Chill下,清清甜甜幾好味。眼淚蝦棗眼淚蝦棗用五花肉、蝦肉、乾蔥及洋蔥等材料製作而成,全人手製作,炸得脆卜卜金黃色,好香口。老隆藥膳肉骨茶同平時食到嘅肉骨茶有點不同,呢個味道我更加鍾意,入面材料好豐富,胡椒味恰到好處,而且排骨好入味又軟腍,食完好暖胃。百香果沙律蝦球炸得好香脆嘅蝦球,外邊仲有酸酸甜甜嘅百香果沙律,蝦肉好彈牙,好開胃呢!芙蓉燒蟹用咗東南亞風味甜豉油,蟹肉亦都好新鮮,好大隻,而且廚師已經幫忙拆件,方便客人食用,醬汁又滲入蟹肉當中,好惹味呢正宗海南麻雞雞肉嫩滑又多汁,已經去骨啖啖肉,再配埋油飯超正!仲有豉油、薑蓉及辣醬三種醬汁怡保乾炒海鮮米粉有豐富嘅材料,魷魚、蝦、帶子等等,米粉炒得好有鑊氣夠晒乾身。原個雪燕香芒椰子盅內有雪燕、椰子雪糕同埋楊枝甘露,口感好有層次,今晚食得好滿足。
