hEat is a casual Mediterranean restaurant in Wan Chai which specializes in a wide range of grilled delights. Chef Israel de Freitas is dedicated to serving delicious dishes from high quality in-house dry aged beef to fresh seafood. It is the perfect spot for friends to hang out after work or at weekends. Their dry aged 30days Cedar River Prime rib-eye is a must-try item on the menu. Because it was absolutely tender and juicy. The flavour of the beef had been enriched and deepened after being dry
Their dry aged 30days Cedar River Prime rib-eye is a must-try item on the menu. Because it was absolutely tender and juicy. The flavour of the beef had been enriched and deepened after being dry-aged for a month.
Other recommended dishes include the house’s Thai salmon, foie gras and potato gratin. The South-East-Asia-inspired grilled salmon was moist and soft, with a mild aftertaste of spices. Besides, the foie gras was soft and creamy. It almost melted in my mouth the moment it landed on my tongue. Also, the potato gratin served in hEat was buttery and fragrant. After absorbing the tasty juices from all ingredients, the ordinary potato had transferred into a scrumptious highlight of the night.
Last but not least, it’s time for dessert. Who could resist a generous portion of strawberry short bread? The crust was flaky while the cream was silky smooth. I loved the contrast in texture. The dessert was not too sweet. Topped with fresh strawberry, it was light and yummy, a perfect treat to complete the supper.
