I went into this bakery a few times afterwork and ended up empty-handed when I left, because there were usu. not much choices at around 7:30 pm. on weeknights. I passed by Vanilla again last Sat. at around 6 pm and bought 2 pieces of cakes ($25 for each) for a try1) black forest (round piece, not cut cake)(2) chocolate truffle cake (also round piece)The chocolate truffle cake was better in both texture and taste. (1) black forest (round piece, not cut cake)
(2) chocolate truffle cake (also round piece)

The chocolate truffle cake was better in both texture and taste. Tasting the chocolate truffle cake was like eating a large piece of dark chocolate truffle. For those who don't like dark chocolate, it might be a bit heavy. For me, it's just right.

For the black forest cake, the layer of cherries and cream is OK, but the texture of the cake can be improved.
