You know it's nearing Christmas when Pret A Manger has their Christmas sandwiches, wraps and desserts on sale. I believe they do this every year and $1 is donated to Feeding Hong Kong. The items have a sticker saying it, so you know which ones are going to charity.Decided to have a sandwich for dinner, I went here for take away and saw that they had two Christmas sandwiches: Pret Christmas Lunch and Brie and Cranberry. I bought both half sandwiches which were $25 each.Cranberry and brie sandwich
Cranberry and brie sandwich had pine nuts and lettuce as well. I love the combination of cranberry with brie. This was a really rich sandwich. Added with the pine nuts, I got a pretty decent protein rich meal. Pret Christmas lunch, I had last year and I loved it, so I bought it again this year. It has cranberry spread, bits of cranberry, turkey, stuffing ... it's like having eating your leftovers after Christmas. Don't go ew...leftovers? Leftovers after Christmas is probably the best thing ever because you can make a lot of great sandwiches with them. I loved especially the crunchy texture of the stuffing. I also love Pret's bread. I wonder where they get it from because it's the exact same bread I used to have as a child when I brought lunch to school in my lunchbox. I also included a small BLT salad ($32). Salad dressing was nice and tangy. Salad greens crisp. I always come back when I'm in need of something light for dinner.
