We tried this place a few months ago, as it had just opened, and it was great ~ 4 to 5 stars. We have been back several times, and the quality of the place has quickly declined. The food is still ok, but service and general atmosphere have quickly declined. At the beginning we were greeted with a big smile and food was great. There are two main things that now bother us, and are the main reasons we won't be coming back.
First, they started adding shrimp to everything, the side vegetables, on the tofu, and to the sauce for beef and pork. Last time we asked them to give me a new portion of vegetables without the shrimp, and the reaction was quite rude. I'm allergic to shrimp. Not so had that I can tolerate food being cooked together, but I cannot eat them. This time I just ignored the vegetables and fished out the shrimp from the tofu and the beef. Still got a rash.
Second, on a few occasions, friends of the owner were in the restaurant, and the owner was very loudly talking to them, to the point to make us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. It is natural for such a place to be a bit noisy, but for us, this was a big turn off.
The latest experience here was completely unsatisfying to the point that we have decided to not come back again. I had recommended the place to friends that live in Yuen Long, and now I only hope they do not get to visit either to spare them the bad experience.
