I have been to Kane Tsuru so many times because of the eel! There are four branches now at North Point, To Kwa Wan, Jordan and Central. The first time I had the signature ramen then the second time I had unagidon and loved it.Went to the new branch at North Point as it is less busy but compared to other joints, this one wasn't so private as there is a big glass door. The menu is the same.Ordered the Unagidon and unagi skewer just to see if there is any difference.Although the unagidon eel is boaste

Although the unagidon eel is boasted to have a good thickness, I didn't find it that thick but in general thicker than other restaurants.

The eel was boneless and succulent so it was satisfying and the eel skin was slightly chewy and crispy without oilyness.
I haven't been to Japan but I would expect the roasted eels everywhere to be boneless but in Hong Kong everything is sub par in quality which makes normal restaurants exceeding.

The skewer seemed thicker and better.

Will probably come again when I am craving for eel again.
