This place is just 5 mins walk from the MTR station. This newly opened restaurant is decorated with some cows heads because this place features noodles with different parts of beef. I have ordered the Stewed Assorted Beef Noodles (Light Soup) ($98) which has all ingredients in a big bowl of soup noodles. The soup was quite clear but full of mixed beef flavour. The soup was quite clear but full of mixed beef flavour. It only has a bit of oil from the fat of different part of beef. In the soup there were dried tofu, diced beef, sliced beef, cowhells, tripes, spiced corned egg, topped with corienda, spring onion, and crushed garlic.
The beef was seasoned with Yuen Nan seasoning. It was a bit tangy but it won't numb your tongue until you cannot eat. The diced beef was so tender after absorbing all the Yuen Nan seasoning, while the cowhells were chewy and hard one instead of the soft and jello one. This big piece of dried tofu reminded me of my ex-housemate whom was born in Shanghai. It was fluffy and full of soy taste. I liked that the size was very generous and you may add an extra one for only $6! I just loved it very much. The spiced corned egg tasted similar to the one in green color cup noodle with seafood flavour. You may also order it separately for only $6. The noodles were smooth and tasted authentic like the ones I had in Shanghai. If you want, you may also add soya sauce, vinegar, salt, dried chili flakes, and seasonings. Housemade kimchi ($12)
Quite refreshing since it was marinated with vinegar. it was a bit spicy but not overly spicy. The serving of the noodle and ingredietns were very generous, I could only finish 70% of it, you may opt for plain noodles then add your desire toppings. Personally, I prefer the sliced beef, diced beef and dried tofu. What's your preference?
