This is my second attempt here at Aldente, and I would say that the first time seemed much better or maybe it was just my faulty memory of how the food tasted here. But anyways, these were the dishes my family ordered to share with:Beef Carpaccio- Were thinly sliced, fresh, but not cold enough therefore it did not taste its best. Italian thin crust pizza with rocket and parma ham- The pizza was still warm when served but immediately cooled down after only a few minutes, the taste and the amount of ingredients on it was decent. The crust was thin and crispy. Good tasting pizza when it was still hot.

Pan Seared Foie Gras with grilled green apple slices- The foie Gras was well done, they used a plum sauce which gave the dish the sweetness it needed to balance off the oiliness of the foie gras. At first I had a higher expectation for this dish, but after my first bite I knew it was just another ordinary dish you could find at any other places that serves foie gras.

Mushroom & Cream Risotto- Creamy and filling dish, the texture was close to aldente, not enough mushroom pieces though.

Lobster & shrimp Angel Hair- At first I thought the sauce would be in an orange color since it’s a lobster dish, but rather I tasted more of the shrimp than the lobster. The pasta was aldente when served, the outer layer of the pasta was still crisp and crunchy, but after a while the pasta soaked up the sauce and became soft which it shouldn’t be. The seafood was fresh but its natural flavors were being covered by the rich and creamy white sauce. This would be a nice dish for the ladies.

Overall an average Italian restaurant, big portions too so it’s better to share. Would be nice for a visit, but maybe not twice.
