Was craving 雞蛋仔 recently and decided to try out Mr Eggcellent! — This was so good! A very unique combination of flavours that really resembled an apple pie. The cinnamon taste is strong, aromatic but not overpowering and is a perfect pairing with the apple chunks. The apples are chopped into tiny cubes making it easy to eat, and nicely coated in cinnamon and sugar, giving it a slight sweetness. I love that each egg puff has apple in it, so you’re guaranteed to enjoy each bite! The egg waffle itself was really tasty, and had a chewy texture that almost resembled mochi. It’s not overly sweet, and combined with the toppings/filling its at the perfect level of sweetness.
Everything is made fresh to order, so it’s served to you nice and warm. The outer layer is super crispy whilst the inside is soft and chewy. I really recommend eating this fresh to get maximum enjoyment!
⭐️ Will definitely be returning to try out all of their other items!
