PAN de PAIN finally opened their first store on Hong Kong Island. The newly opened place is at the basement of Times Square. The restaurant was separated as two parts, one with the regular table, and the other room offers bar seats that you can see the kitchen and also Tatami seats. First time seeing combining mochi with souffle pancake and it turns out to be quite a match. A thin layer of mochi covered thick strawberry cream and then there is two pieces of jiggling pancakes. Fresh Strawberry sauce and vanilla icecream were served next to it. The combination of flavir was great, and the pancake did have rich egg flavor. However, seems the kitchen was too busy, the pancakes were a bit undercooked. The outside looks great but when you cut through the pancake, the well cooked outer and the inner part would separate immediately and you can see the pancake was a bit too watery.
