Got a cake from Dalloyau for afternoon tea. Among the many different flavours, I picked this Pistachio & Chocolate Hazelnut Cake because I like both pistachio & hazelnut.It was packed nicely in a box with a transparent plastic sheet so that you can easily see the cake inside.DALLOYAU Pistachio & Chocolate Hazelnut Cake $58 Frankly speaking, the size of the cake is not so big given its price. The cake looks like a cube with 4 easily seen layers. It was topped by a pistachio and a chocolate plate

Frankly speaking, the size of the cake is not so big given its price. The cake looks like a cube with 4 easily seen layers. It was topped by a pistachio and a chocolate plate printed with the name of the cake shop. Although clearly layered, this cake didn't taste so and was mostly rich nutty pistachio flavour with some chocolate and hardly any hazelnut flavour. It was dense and moist and texture was pretty plain. Given this price, I would have expected more. I would not pick this cake again.
