Carnes is a Argentinian restaurant located in Sheung Wan specialising in steak. The staffs were very friendly and welcoming and they detailedly introduced the menu to us. Argentinian steak are cut based on the texture of different parts of the cow, which leads to better flavour and a more consistent texture all the way through! At Carnes, they served a variety of cuts with high quality and reasonable price, definitely good value for money and a pleasant dining experience!💯🥟 Appetiser: Beef E
🥟 Appetiser: Beef Empanadas ($128)
Empanadas are little pockets of dough filled with flavourful minced protein and veggies. The dough of Carne’s empanadas was amazing, it was incredibly thin, crispy and flaky. The empanadas was stuffed with a generous amount of minced beef and roughly cut veggies, coated in a tomato sauce. It was also accompanied with a subtle sour and spicy sauce which gives it that kick, definitely an appetising and delicious appetiser to kick start the feast!

🥩 Mix Carnes ($568)
The mixed Carnes is a steak platter with fillet, sirloin and skirt steak. The sirloin is the fatty and thick cut that is incredibly flavoursome and juicy. The fillet, which is a tender muscle part is very lean with very little fat running through. The skirt steak has the most intense beef flavour and the best marbling out of the three and therefore to me it is the MVP of the night 🌟
All the steaks are grilled perfectly to medium rare with a chargrilled steak flavour. Both sides of the steak is also perfectly and liberally seasoned with salt and pepper!
