This Thai restaurant has several outlets, and today we went to the one in Cityplaza. We had tried this restaurant in Bangkok many years back and got some good memories. We were seated at a round table at the corner so able to enjoy some space. The decor is neat and unsophisticated, bringing some familiar Thai culture to the customers using plenty of wood and bamboo. I like the mosaic tiles on the floor which gives a chic ambience.

We ordered the Set Menu for Two ($438). The Appetizer Platter contained two pieces of deep-fried shrimp cakes, char-grilled chicken and beef satay, and pomelo salad with whitebait. Decent in taste and while they were not the best, all of the food certainly met our expectation. Among them I like the satay the most, with the meat marinated well and grilled nicely.

For the main course there were three choices, and we opted for Northern Thai Barbequed Spring Chicken. This is my favorite among the dishes in the evening, with the chicken nicely grilled with a glaze of pepper and honey, delicious and the meat was also not dried up, retaining nice juicy texture. The side dish of the papaya salad is also good, with a spicy kick to stimulate the palate, and the sauce further added complexity in flavors.

As we were quite full from our big lunch on the day, we decided to have the Belachan Kale instead of rice or noodle. Rich and intense in flavors, the kale is young and tender, and the belachan sauce added a wonderful savory fragrance and taste.

The Dessert Platter contained black and white sticky rice with mango, pandan layer cake, and coconut sago pudding. Obviously the mango is not in the best season so we did not have high expectation, still it is decent in sweetness. Similar to the appetizer, the desserts are not bad, though nothing that I would call outstanding.

Service is fair, and the restaurant is almost full so the staff was quite busy throughout. The bill was $514 which is very reasonable and in general I would say it is quite good in value. Knowing that they do have an outlet in Elements which target a more top-notch experience, maybe it would be good to try that out in future.
