I start changing my habits years ago from dining in those Big branches Sushi to small shops. However, not so many of those small shops can keep their food quality as good as Gyoyou Sushi. I have been to there a few times, in lunch hour and at dinner service, both of them are doing great. I couldn't address more that the sushi rice here is shaped by chefs hands, not the machine. Love the soft shell crab handroll as the batter is light and crispy, seaweed still crispy and everything's just right.

Last time I ate the wagyu beef roll and that was really amazing and I wish to order that again. Sadly the wagyu are out of stock today.
So the order changed to Mango and Fried Shriml Roll instead. This one is amazing too. Highly recommend.

Sometimes when I'm so dying for Salmon Sashimi, I'll get them from supermarkets, but the price are relatively expensive. Now I found that Gyoyou gives a good big portion of Salmon in the Cold Salmon Ramen, serving it with the classic Japanese sesame mayo. Simple and taste good, portion good enough for a single person and more importantly at a very reasonable price.
