J&G Fried Chicken is a take away chain from Taipei that serves Taiwanese fried chicken. Usually tossed in various spices, it's MSG to the extreme. But apparently they now have other deep fried items. We could choose any drink and boyfriend wanted the fruit tea. This was basically sugar water that had a taste of lychee. But oddly enough this was needed for the bag of deep fried goodies we were about to receive.
The squid were black (I assume squid ink?) and sliced with no tenticles added. So, it was just the meaty portion. It wasn't as heavily tossed in spices like the chicken but it was still well seasoned. The squid meat was not tough but chewy enough to enjoy. Pretty delicious.
