I wandered into the quieter streets of Nathan Road and found this restaurant not too far from the main road. When I walked inside, I waited for quite some time to get noticed by a staff. The restaurant was half lit with only a pair of customers dining in. Maybe because it was a holiday that they only half lit the restaurant, not expecting much to come in. After finally getting noticed by a staff member, I was ushered into my seat. Their tables found at the sides of the restaurant are different compared to the center ones. The owner used a special thick matte to highlight this restaurant's Instagram-able tables.
Their menu is offered both in English and in Chinese.
Some additional snacks if you prefer.
I ordered what I would defaultly order in any Taiwanese restaurant. Braised Pork with Rice. This came with a side of pickled vegetables and half a runny egg. The rice came out so steamy and was a lot. Sadly, it wasn't fluffily fresh. The braised pork were few and lacked the right flavors. It wasn't like the one that I had back in Taiwan. The pickled vegetables, on the other hand, were crunchy, sweet and addictive that I wish I had more.

Lastly, the runny half egg. When the bowl was served to me, I immediately commented inside my head how bad it looked. That it was poor in color and badly curded in texture. And true enough, the egg tasted sour. It was a rotten egg. The kitchen staff shouldn't really be keeping rotten eggs in their fridge and neither should they even serve it to their customers like they're food poisoning them. Despite of that, the overall dish was satiable. This incident was probably just a one-off thing.

I also ordered a Deep Fried Chicken ($39). It was a little expensive compared to the other Taiwanese restaurants I've been to in HK but I saw why it was priced this way. The meat was thick, the chicken was coated in egg before slathering it in a special coating. They were a-d-d-i-c-t-i-v-e and not because if there was MSG in it, it was just so good. I simply couldn't get enough of it.

By the way, the one that has MSG on it is their "special" salt. That wasn't good but the chicken overall was so dang good, I'll overlook it (the MSG).

As I was enjoying my chicken heartily. I noticed more and more customers were coming in and the manager had to fully open the lights for them. All of the customers who came after me look like their loyal customers. The restaurant itself then appeared as a homey place where families and buddies can meet, hang out and enjoy a plate of mom's cooking. Surprisingly, all of them ordered a braised pork rice with half a runny egg and deep fried chicken nuggets all in one plate. I wonder where that was showed on the menu because I certainly missed that. I'll look into their menu more carefully next time and try this must-have dish that everyone's craving about.
