It is weird how us girls always have another room for dessert, a dessert stomach even we are full. Was looking around for a light dessert and ended up coming to Owl's. Owl's is opposite K11, a small shop with logs decoration (wall, tables and chairs). There is less than 10 seats inside the store, if you want to sit down you'll need to wait. There is a menu poster at the door showing clearly the type of Gelato Choux and ice-cream they are selling. I'm a fan of red velvet and that caught my eye. Once you enter the shop, it smells so nice! A huge oven is at the corner reheating / baking the puff. You place order at the cashier and the Gelato Choux is freshly handmade per order.

Red velvet puff with velvet cake, vanilla & almond gelato and strawberry & rose sauce. The Gelato Choux looks very nice (exactly like the poster) served in a small cup. For people who eat slow (like me), the cup is a warming idea so the puff and fillings does not fall out/melt. After my first bite, it is so yummy I can't stop eating. Outer layer of the puff looks like crumble of pineapple bread, it is crunchy and hot. The small velvet cakes is moist and soft. There are even cornflakes hidden in the ice-cream! The gelato have a stronger vanilla taste than almond, you can see they use vanilla beans and not vanilla oil. Gelato is soft and creamy. Remember to eat the puff, velvet cake, gelato, sauce and cornflakes together...it gives you different kinds of flavour and texture to your taste buds.Will come back to try other puffs!
