I’ve been living in Tin Hau for a bit now, and within this time, starting from exit B1, various hipster eateries have slowly been sparking up alone electronic road. With the nearest one, a western dessert parlor taking ground at the cross section between Electronic road and Gordon Road.We walked past this new establishment and were beckoned in by the friendly smile of the newly become entrepreneurs. Following the owner's recommendation, we ordered the mini ice-cream Hamburg ($58). This arrived promptly within 10mins, and is cutely layouted like a burger set, including chips and ketchup. After further investigation, we discovered the chips are actually sweet potatoes and the ketchup is strawberry sauce.

Though a nice concept, the items in question fails to meet expectations. Sadly, with ice-cream being in a sandwich, once you bite on it, the ice-cream will spray all over your hands and the table, which is rather awkward. At the same time this happens the ice-cream that has successfully entered your mouth meets your taste buds, and you discover it is rather un-gourmat like ice-cream. Don't get me wrong, it was good ice-cream, but just tastes more like Nestlé rather than Häagen-Dazs.

With melted chocolate ice-cream on my hands, and a slightly dampened spirit, I ventured onto the next item. The sweet potato fries, with strawberry sauce. Now these were some nice piping hot fries! I dipped them into the strawberry sauce, and it was like heaven in your mouth. Flavourful sweet potatoes, with the perfect balance between crispiness and not being too oily, matched together with a fruity flavoured strawberry sauce, this had successfully turned my views around for this restaurant.
