My boyfriend knows that I love chicken hotpot so today, he took me to this new hotpot restaurant for dinner. The restaurant was spacious and modern. To start with, we ordered some snack while waiting for the chicken to cook. The Hainan sea snail was tasty, the sauce they used to marinate was delicious. The sea snail was chewy. Coconut chicken:
We waited for the soup to boil and then once we saw the smoke, I put half of the chicken into the soup. I then turn the sand timer upside down, the staff said wait until all the sand finish then the chicken will be ready to eat. After around ten minutes, we started to eat, the chicken was so yummy itself, they were tender and smooth. The staff told us the chicken will taste best when we dip it into the ginger and lime sauce; she was right, the sauce definitely lift up the flavour. Anyway, my boyfriend took all the chicken out because he said it was getting over-cook so I will recommend not to put so many pieces in all at once, put a few pieces at a time. The coconut was so smooth, they were also very soft to chew. The chicken also comes with a basket of vegetables, these vegetables were all imported from Japan. The greens were fresh and sweet. I love the sweet potato the best because the texture was soft and crispy. We were very hungry so we also ordered a steamed rice with truffle lobster in claypot. I was shocked when I saw the claypot, it was so big. It smelled so good when I lift the lid off, the rice was not too hard nor soft, it was the perfect texture! They also added some taro pieces which made the rice taste even better. There was no need to add any sauce to the rice, the rice itself tasted delicious as it absorbed the lobster's juice. The lobster was cooked perfectly, the texture was spot on. It was also very easy to take out from the shell because the chef chop them in a way that we can easily take out. The truffle flavour was very strong and I quite like the combination of truffle and lobster. My boyfriend was still a bit hungry so we got a Australia M9 beef. The beef was presented nicely on the plate. It looked mouth-watering when it arrived in front of us. It didn't take us long to finish the whole plate because it was delicious. The beef was so tender and soft. It was so smooth that it slid into my tummy. I didn't dip it into any sauce because the beef was so tasty after cooking in the chicken soup already. I will definitely go again because I love the spacious and cozy environment.
