It was view to dine for here and the food was actually good! No touristy BS. They were (are) doing discounts on Mon-Thu night which made us even happier when we got the bill. The servers (only 3!) were helpful and thank you for sparing the time to help us with some grilling advices. The marinated short ribs were the must-order. The marinated short ribs were the must-order. We chose the apple-pear juice marinated version instead of just plainly-salted. The ribs were slightly towards the sweet side but they went well with the lettuce wrap and kimchi. Btw, all the banchan are homemade.
The manager recommended an off-menu item: pork belly with hand-cut crisscross pattern. The cutting added more surface areas for the fire, for making the meat extra crispy.
The seafood pancake wasn’t much to look at, at first, but the taste surely surprised us. Crispy edges (yes, more crisps) and the dough would make carbs-lovers go crazy.
I would definitely ask for “more spicy, please” next time. The chefs went easy on us tonight (it was actually not spicy at all so everything was “tastebud-friendly”).
