It was just fantastic to be able to visit Ocean Park on my birthday free and to top it all off, was the novelty and excitement of dining with 70ish penguins at Tuxedos Restaurant. I reserved our table online so we could plan our park schedule around it. My sole purpose was to see pandas and red pandas before taking the cable car to visit the Summit's Arctic Adventure & Tuxedos Restaurant.
We arrived at the restaurant on time but there was a little confusion from getting a phone call reminder to seat us. Nevertheless, our attention was quickly diverted to the amazing big glass screen with life penguins. It was pure excitement seeing penguins walking and then diving in the tank swimming like motors. As we were seated right in the front row, I couldn't help but chase after the penguins with the kids every now and then.
In terms of their food quality, it was unexpectedly good! Enchanted by the adorable penguins, we trio ordered the penguin shaped Tux Seafood Pizza, Tuxedos Mixed Grill for two, Penguin Tango mocktail and a free birthday coke using our birthday coupon.
The sweet concoction Penguin Tango with pineapple juice, lime juice, Sprite and fresh blueberries was refreshing and I was excited to share it with the penguins.
Tux Seafood Pizza in thin base with lobster, scallop, mussel, mozzarella Cheese and tomato sauce was unexpectedly good. They used sustainable seafood and topped with a lot of cheese.

For the meat lover, Tuxedos Mixed Grill was mighty satisfying. The portion was generous, tasty, and filling; good for a hearty share. The server had told us the dish would take a longer waiting time because the thick-cut Chile sea bass required longer time to cook and the fillet was indeed sumptuous even though the dressing was rather mild. The gravy for the chicken and pork on the other hand was rich and yummy. The steak was adequately good too.
We spent over two hours there dining and we loved seeing the penguins being fed.
What was even more impressive was that everything was 20% off, including the service charge. Wow, I truly miss the old practice when things were straightforward with no catch. Kudos to "Ocean Park! WOW it's My Park."
