Music and food always form a great combination. At @loststarslivehouse they often invite local musicians to perform live music while serving dinner. “Roasted Pork Rack” was beautifully cooked, retaining moisture in the meat. On top, pistachios added texture with sour cream & grilled apples to balance. Solid. “Grilled New Zealand Ribeye Steak” was seared to a medium-rare, again really juicy inside with simple red wine sauce and roasted sweet potatoes. “Fried Avocado Fries” was an interesting dish

“Grilled New Zealand Ribeye Steak” was seared to a medium-rare, again really juicy inside with simple red wine sauce and roasted sweet potatoes.
“Fried Avocado Fries” was an interesting dish. The avo was not actually cooked, just that the crust was fried to a crisp. The contrasting textures were special.
“Toast with Duck Liver Paste” was a simple French snack. Here, a little balsamic glaze was drizzled on top, a nice snack to go with a red.
If not into alcohol, “Happy” the mocktail made use of lychee, cucumber, grapefruit juice and tonic water, refreshing and easily go well with any dish.
Finally, I took my time and enjoyed the music, as well as desserts like “Basque Burnt Cheesecake” and “Chocolate Moelleux” to spend the rest of the night.
