I ordered the 清湯牛片粉 $79 (used to be $69) Boiled soup sliced beef rice noodle, but she thought I said 紅油牛片粉 and left that on the receipt 😬. Her attitude was also very rude when I corrected her. The noodles are soft and not springy at all which was different than the one at their old branch in causeway bay. The soup is very flavorful and strong but the one I used to have at their Causeway Bay branch was much more intense with stronger flavors of the garlic and coriander. The Beef was sliced very thin but still tender, there was a particular piece that was a bit tough… There was also very little pieces (2-3). The pickled vegetables as a topping was also very selfishly added compared to their old store and the taste was clear that it has not been pickled long enough as the inside was extremely sour and outside was salty.
I also ordered the 豬手 as a side dish for +$16 and it was very tender and soft but only 2 pieces and very little meat. The flavor was there but not that memorable, not worth the extra money.
The seat I was at was also very cold because of the ventilation and made my food cold very fast and I could not get to slowly enjoy it. I also overheard the people next table to me complained that it was very cold too…
Overall, the taste and service was much better at their Causeway Bay branch which is a shame as they closed it. This restaurant seemed to be more interested in making money than good noodles. I also read the reviews on google which said the 豬手 was really good and praised the staff attitude too, so I was very surprised when I went. My total was $95 and I did not order a drink nor did they give me water.
